Cosmetic tattooing, also known as semi-permanent makeup, is a procedure where pigment is implanted into the skin's dermal layer to enhance natural features, such as eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner. At Pink Rock we specialise in Ombre', Feather Touch & Combination brows. Ensuring utmost safety, we sterilise all equipment in a medical-grade autoclave or use disposable items to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination during procedures.

The longevity of cosmetic tattooing varies depending on the area treated, skin type, and aftercare, but typically lasts between 1 to 3 years before requiring a touch-up.

While discomfort levels vary by individual, most clients report minimal pain. We use topical numbing agents to maximise your comfort during the procedure.

Cosmetic Tattooing is a two-step process, usually scheduled 6-8 weeks apart to allow for adequate healing. It is extremely important to complete both the initial appointment and perfection session for the best results & long term retention.

STEP 1: The initial procedure takes approximately 2.5-3.5 hours. It begins with a consultation to discuss your desired brow appearance and select a suitable colour tone. Jen then outlines the procedure area for your approval, striving to create symmetry despite natural facial asymmetry. Once satisfied with the shape and symmetry, the procedure begins using either a manual hand tool or a machine.

STEP 2: Perfection Session, takes around 1.5-2 hours. Perfection sessions or touch up appointments are scheduled 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. Completing the touch-up is crucial, as without it, the results may not be optimal. Colour fading occurs within 4 weeks as the skin heals, peels, and fades, making the touch-up necessary for adjustments and enhancements.

In some cases, a third touch-up may be required for clients whose skin does not retain pigment well. While rare, this additional session may incur extra fees if poor aftercare is the cause.
